Is a black code background possible in FlexBuilder 3 beta 3?

A coworker of mine is a big proponent of black backgrounds in his IDE, so much so that he’s sticking with FlexBuilder 2 as FlexBuilder 3 doesn’t seem to allow changing the black color of the period, semi-colon, comma, numbers, and possibly other tokens. If anyone knows how to change these colors, possibly by editing files in jars as in FlexBuilder 2 please let me know. If you don’t please vote for the bug he opened (FB-11574).

I found a workaround (don’t tell Adobe as we want this fixed):

set the global foreground color to a color other than black and the rest of the chars are readable.

    FlexBuilder–>Preferences–>General–>Text Editors

Choose ‘Foreground color’ and change it from black to something bright like green.

Thank you, thank you! I have been trying to figure this out for hours!

I have been using the technique mentioned by Mr. ‘The Friend.’ there’s colors I’ve never been able to track down in the Preferences panel, like all those dark blue words. I did hunt down a solution for those but wasn’t bothered by them enough to follow through with it. feel free:

just ran into a non-intuitively-located panel:

    Flex Builder/Preferences
    > Flex
    > Editors
    > Syntax Coloring
